Microphone Jammer

Having secure communications and private conversations can be difficult to manage in today’s digital age. Whether you are getting a divorce, going through a legal matter, a target of the media, aiming for a competitive business edge or running for political office, you may not have the luxury of having secured spaces for privacy with access controls, TSCM and physical security. For anyone wishing to get information from you, there are a myriad of inexpensive covert electronic devices available to gather intelligence against you.

Recently, a device that a political candidate was using caught our attention. GOP senate candidate, Bernie Moreno from Ohio, used a $400.00 microphone jammer to disable any microphone within twenty feet of him, providing him with peace of mind so that his conversations were not recorded without his consent.

How does it work?

The device generates random ultrasonic or “silent” sinusoidal and square wave signals that exploit and neutralize the non-linearity of microphones (such as the microphone on an iPhone 15) so that the end product recording is indecipherable and cannot be demodulated or reverse engineered with forensic technology later. This would also eliminate any threat that utilizes A.I. produced virtual assistant functionalities. These devices are typically small, lightweight and portable. They are completely and totally LEGAL to use.

This microphone jammer was useful to senate candidate Moreno while he was being followed around in public by the media. As the media attempted to question candidate Moreno, the device scrambled any audio recording from being useful. The media often did not know that this was happening and that any recording they had would end up being useless.

A device such as this could be deployed in any number of locations and situations for the purpose of disrupting covert and overt listening or recording devices. If you are in a situation that requires private communication, consider a microphone jammer.
